Lanoxin (Digoxin)

Usage indications

Lanoxin is used for treating heart failure and slowing the heart rate in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation, a type of abnormal heart rhythm. It may also be used for certain conditions as determined by your doctor.

Application mode

Take this drug on doctor's recommendation only.
Lanoxin is for oral intake at the same time.

Drug class and mechanism of action

Lanoxin is foxglove glycoside. It increases the force of heart contractions and delays its frequency.

Missed doses

If you miss drug dosage during its regular intake take missed doze as soon as possible. If it has happened during   the time for next doze intake avoid missed doze and follow usual schedule. Double dosage intake is prohibited.

Storage

Store this drug at room temperature and keep away from humidity, sun light and children.

Warning/precautions

Lnoxin intake is prohibited in case if you are allergic to any of its components and other drugs containing foxglove. This drug intake is prohinbited in case of Berry- Berry disease (polyneuritis) and specific dsfuntions of caridac rhythm (ventricle fibrillation).

Consult your doctor immediately in case of contraindications.

Side effects

Be sure to consult your doctor in any of the most widespread side effects persists for a long time:

• diarrhea, quick, slow or irregular heart beat, loss of appetite, vomiting, nausea, weakness

Be sure to contact your doctor immediately in case if any of the followinf serious side effects occur:

• Heavy allergic reactions (rash, nettle rash, itch, breathin problems, chest constraints, mouth, face, lips or tongue edema), heart problems.
